Off to Italia!

Since this is my first post on my first blog ever I'm not really sure how to start, but I guess I'll just start from the beginning!  I have been dreaming of coming back to Italy since I left in 2007 after student teaching because I just loved the people, language, and the history you find everywhere.  I finally was able to save up the money, get up the courage to quit my job, and make the move, with help from Caroline and Courtney who are joining me on part of this journey!  

I'm headed to Florence to brush up on my italian, travel, and live la dolce vita before I have to come back to the real world and focus on what I really want to do with my life.  The only big decisions I will have to worry about in Italy is whether to have carbonara or pizza diavola for dinner...tough choice!  It's less than a week before I leave and the stress is taking a bit of a toll on me so I can't wait until I can get on that plane and then there is no turning back.

I guess that's it for now!  I promise this blog will be more interesting once I get over there.  I especially can't wait to document the awkward situations I'm sure I will find myself in everyday since, let's face it, that's what I do!  :o)
